Step 1: Learn the Fundamentals of Data Analysis

Before you can become a data analyst, you need to have a solid foundation in the fundamentals of data analysis. This includes learning statistics, data visualization, and data cleaning. The most popular programming languages for data analysis are Excel, Rand SQL, PowerBI and Tableau. The languages have extensive libraries for data analysis, and they are widely used in the industry. There are many resources available, such as Codecademy, DataCamp, and edX, that offer courses in R, Excel, SQL and Business Intelligence tools like PowerBI and Tableau.
